“The reasons I chose to come to USF College of Nursing involved several factors. First, I am an alumnus of the Master’s program, in Psych-Mental Health CNS and Family Nurse Practitioner program – from the first graduating class back in 1989 – and I felt I had a great educational experience and wonderful faculty mentors,” said Kapatkin. “I later went on to work for 3 years at the College of Nursing in the mid 1990s, both as an Instructor, and then, briefly, as the Acting Chair of Family Health Nursing in 1995-96.”

“More recently, I had heard about some wonderful initial changes and potential for more positive change and growth at the College of Nursing with the new Dean on board,” said Kapatkin. “ I have always loved teaching and nursing, and am planning on pursuing my Doctorate, so felt this would be great time and place to get back involved.”
