Michelle Indiano and Jamie Thomas, Two New Navy Bull Nurses

University of South Florida College of Nursing students Michelle Indiano and Jamie Thomas graduated with a bachelors degree in nursing in May 2012. They are the 2nd (Indiano) and 3rd (Thomas) nurses to be commissioned since the NROTC program began at USF 10 years ago.

Both new navy bull nurses graduated with University honors. Indiano received Cum Laude honors as part of the Bayfront Medical Center/All Children’s clinical collaborative team. Thomas received Magna Cum Laude honors as part of the Morton Plant Mease clinical collaborative team. Thomas was also awarded the USF Nursing Alumni Nightingale Award at the USF Nurisng Pinning Ceremony on May 4, 2012. This award is presented on behalf of the USF Nursing Alumni and Friends Society Board, and the recipient is chosen by their graduating class as the one student who best represents the values of the College and of the nursing profession.
