Nursing dean named FNINR ambassador
Dianne Morrison-Beedy, PhD, RN, WHNP-BC, FNAP, FAANP, FAAN, senior associate vice president of USF Health and dean of the College of Nursing, was recently selected as the ambassador of the Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research (FNINR).
Dr. Morrison-Beedy was chosen for this honor because of her excellence in clinical research activities and her knowledge on nursing policy.
In this role, she will help educate policy makers on both state and federal levels about the importance of nursing research and appropriate funding that benefits the health and well being of all people.
This is just one of many notable recognitions for Dr. Morrison-Beedy this year. She recently received the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award from University of Buffalo (UB). She was also inducted into the 2015 International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame by the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI). She received the Fulbright Award for the Fulbright International Education Administrators Program in France. Dr. Morrison-Beedy was also awarded USF Outstanding Faculty from the USF Provost’s Office.
