Nursing PhD student receives SNRS top Dissertation award
University of South Florida College of Nursing PhD student, Jessica Gordon, MS, ARNP, CPNP-PC, received the Southern Nursing Research Society (SNRS) 2013 Dissertation Research Grant Award. She is the only PhD student in the nation to received this honor from SNRS.
She received the award for her dissertation on “Skin to Skin Contact and Basal Salivary Oxytocin among Lactating Mothers of Premature Infants.” Along with the recognition, she also received a $5,000 grant to help complete her dissertation.
Gordon is currently working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Pediatrics of Tampa Bay. She expects to graduate in spring 2015.
