Nursing student receives gratitude grant from WLP
Nursing student, Kara Saba, recently received the WLP/Gratitude Grant for Nursing from USF’s Women in Leadership and Philanthropy (WLP).
She received the scholarship for demonstrating excellence in education as a nursing student. Through grants, WLP at USF helps promote women’s educational and research efforts throughout the university system.
Saba has a passion for orthopedics, so she can help serve patients dealing with bone deformities, disorders or injuries. She developed a love for orthopedics after an internship at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
She is currently working on her bachelor’s degree in nursing at USF. She expects to graduate in spring 2016. Her ultimate goal is to pursue a graduate degree, potentially in nurse anesthesia.
