Nursing students present research at USF Health Research Day

USF Nursing students presented research at the 25th USF Health Research Day on Feb. 20 at the USF Marshall Student Center. Five nursing graduate students, from the master’s and PhD levels, presented their research.

2015 USF Health Research Day

The day-long event, brings together researchers from across all USF Health colleges, programs and disciplines. The event recognizes the hard work of all USF Health researchers, students and trainees who continue to make significant contributions to research at USF Health and USF. The following nursing students presented research:

Oral Presentation:

  • Glenna S. Brewster, MS, RN, FNP,-BC, PhD student – Depressive Symptoms are Associated with Cognitive Impairment but not Everyday Function in Older Adults

Poster Presentations:

  • Terri M. Johnson, BSN, master’s student – Heat Stress; the American worker and the OHN
  • Vanessa R. Mixon, master’s student – Assessing the risk of hearing damage in professional musicians
  • Dana Lord, BSN, master’s student – Diabetes management for the night shift worker
  • LaToya N. Rourk, master’s student –The dangers of pesticide exposure in migrant workers
