PhD student selected as McKnight scholar
USF Nursing PhD student, Lakeshia Cousin, BSN, recently received the 2015 McKnight Doctoral Fellowship.
Sponsored by the Florida Educational Fund, the McKnight Doctoral Fellowship program helps address the under representation of African-American and Hispanic faculty at colleges and universities in the state of Florida. Cousin is one of 50 students in the state to become a McKnight scholar.
Cousin is in the BS-PhD nursing track with a focus on oncology and adult gerontology primary care. Her research focuses on alleviating chemotherapy related symptoms and toxicities.
