PhD Students, Brewster and Davis Receive Sigma Theta Tau Scholarship Awards
USF nursing PhD students, Glenna Brewster and Shani V. Davis each received a $750 scholarship from the Delta Beta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. Their outstanding accomplishments will be acknowledged at the Annual Research and Scholarship Tea on September 21st.
Brewster plans to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and conduct research on managing psychiatric illnesses, focusing on depression. One of her long term goals is to promote the acceptance of those with mental illnesses and teach psychiatric patients to advocate for themselves.
Davis is a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Educator committed to improving the lives of those with and at risk for developing diabetes and chronic disease. She highly values evidence-based practice and is excited to contribute to nursing and health science through research and publication.
