Stark Chosen for National Nurse Faculty Mentored Leadership Program
Laurie Stark, Instructor at the College of Nursing, is one of 15 new faculty members at colleges and schools of nursing across the country chosen to participate in the Nurse Faculty Mentored Leadership Program (NFMLD), co-sponsored by Sigma Theta Tau International and the Elsevier Foundation.
This experience will provide one-on-one mentorship from Dr. Ermalynn Kiehl, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs at University of Louisville. The focus of the mentored leadership is the redesign of Community Health/Public Health Nursing, the Capstone course in the Baccalaureate program. The project outcomes, encompassing the leadership experience and the changes in the course, will be presented at the 2011 Sigma Theta Tau International Biennial Convention in Dallas. |
