Students and alumni explore career opportunities with local hospitals
Hundreds of students and alumni took the opportunity to network and discuss career options at the USF College of Nursing’s Partners Day event on March 19.
USF Nursing held a day-long event for students and alumni with recruiters from more than ten local hospitals to network, explore career options as well as learn about hospital benefits. Representatives from Tampa General Hospital, James A. Haley Veteran’s Hospital, BayCare Health System, Moffitt Cancer Center, Sarasota Memorial Hospital and others were there to provide students with information.
“Our partners are essential to our teaching mission,” said Elizabeth Jordan, DNSc, RNC, FAAN, associate professor and senior assistant dean for undergraduate programs at USF College of Nursing. “They help us provide high quality clinical experiences to our students. So, this event gives us a great opportunity to learn their models of care as well as innovations.”
