Students to complete global experience in Panama
USF Nursing students continue their summer 2016 global health experience. This time, students are traveling to Chitre, Panama where they will learn first hand about global health.
Led by USF Nursing’s Connie Visovsky, PhD, associate dean of faculty affairs and diversity, students will spend two weeks in Chitre and work alongside faculty and staff from the University of Panama to provide care for adults and children of all ages at local clinics.
This global community health experience fulfills students’ six-credit requirement for their community health didactic and clinical courses, an initiative developed through the College’s POWER with Nursing: Partnership Opportunities for Wellness, Education and Research.
