Nursing profession recently took center stage at USF Shimberg Health Sciences Library, Nov. 14 through Nov. 18. The library showcased an archive of postcards and images of nursing and nurses from around the world.

Kimberly Tavares never gave up. Despite her endless challenges, she kept going. Even when things got tough, she focused. Becoming a nurse was her only goal. “My personal and family struggles weren’t going to stop me,” Tavares said. “Excuses were never an option.” Her persistence paid off. She completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing with a minor in Spanish in Aug. 2016 at the top of her class.

USF College of Nursing’s Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA) program is celebrating its 10-year anniversary. Since it first launched in 2006, the program has been growing fast – becoming one of the leading programs in the country.
