Those who serve, give up everything to defend civilians. Even in the face of danger, they sacrifice their lives to protect those at risk. That was the case for veterans to bachelor of science in nursing (VCARE) students, Jessica Panasewicz and Elizabeth Arp.
USF College of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program received accreditation for ten years from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).“This decision validates the effectiveness of our ongoing improvement efforts and also the college’s commitment to educational excellence, our students and our faculty,” said Melanie Michael, DNP, assistant professor and assistant dean of the DNP program at USF Nursing.
USF Nursing PhD student, Lakeshia Cousin, BSN, recently received the 2015 McKnight Doctoral Fellowship. The McKnight Doctoral Fellowship program helps address the under representation of African-American and Hispanic faculty at colleges and universities in the state of Florida.
