Three USF Nursing Leaders Receive FNA “Great 100 Award”
Three University of South Florida College of Nursing top leaders were recently honored with the 2013 Florida Nurse Association (FNA) “Great 100 Award” for demonstrating excellence in the profession of nursing.
USF Nursing leaders honored with the award include Dianne Morrison-Beedy, PhD, RN, WHNP-BC, FNAP, FAANP, FAAN, senior associate vice president of USF Health and dean of the College of Nursing, Rita F. D’Aoust, PhD, ANP-BC, CNE, FAANP, FNAP, associate dean for academic affairs and director for interprofessional initiatives, and Cindy L. Munro, PhD, RN, ANP-BC, FAAN, FAANP, professor of nursing and associate dean for research and innovation.
Dr. Morrison-Beedy received the “Great 100 Award” for being a role model in the nursing field and for demonstrating excellence as a leader in education and research.

Dr. D’Aoust received the distinguished award for demonstrating excellence in nursing education as a teacher and as a leader who has applied innovative teaching methods in the educator role.

While Dr. Munro, was recognized with this award for demonstrating excellence in nursing research. She was honored for being a nurse who has been awarded funding for research published in peer-reviewed journals, periodicals and books and for participating in research in local, state, national, and international level.

FNA, founded in 1983, helps promote nursing and healthcare delivery through the advancement of research, education, and practice. The organization serves and supports all registered nurses through development, advocacy, and promotion of excellence at every level of professional nursing practice.
