University of Tennessee Nursing College Honors Fabulous Alum, Dr. Maureen Groer

University of South Florida College of Nursing Gordon Keller Professor, Maureen E. Groer, RN, PhD, FAAN, received the “Fabulous 40 Alumni” award from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT) College of Nursing in September 2012 during a gala event celebrating the fortieth anniversary of the UT College of Nursing. Dr. Groer is one of only 40 alumni honored with this distinction.

Dr. Groer completed her Master’s degree at UT College of Nursing in 1980. She was also a Professor and Associate Dean for Research and Evaluation at the College for more than two decades.

As an alumna of the UT College of Nursing, I am honored to be one of the 40 alums to receive this prestigious award,” Dr. Groer said. “I am also extremely proud of my affiliation and relationship I have with the faculty and the College – a place where I taught for 25 years.”
