USF College of Nursing C.O.N.N.E.C.T. event at Morton Plant Hospital showcases student research
University of South Florida College of Nursing Alumni & Friends Society hosted a “College of Nursing Nurses Enjoy Coming Together” (C.O.N.N.E.C.T.) event at the Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, July 10, 2013.

The USF Nursing Alumni & Friends Society held the event to promote the RN-BS degree program, engage alumni, showcase student research posters, and continue to enrich the College’s relationship with Morton Plant Hospital. Over 40 USF Nursing alumni, faculty and staff, and Morton Plant staff attended the event.

During their clinical experience, senior nursing students collaborate with nurse managers, unit educators along with their preceptor to identify quality evaluation and quality improvements on their units.
“This event was such a great success,” Vonnes said. “Our students had the chance to not only display their posters but also connect and network with other attendees. We used this opportunity to have an open poster sessions in order for students to share their findings. ”
