USF College of Nursing celebrates three new PhD graduates
Among the hundreds of nursing students who walked across the stage at commencement on Thursday evening, May 3, three had recently earned their PhDs.
They are (pictured above, left to right):
- Maya Elias, who defended her dissertation on March 19, 2018. Her topic: The Relationship Between Sleep Quality and Motor Function in Hospitalized Older Adult Survivors of Critical Illness
- Paula Cairns, who defended her dissertation on March 19, 2018. Her topic: Prevention of Post Intensive Care Syndrome-Family with Sensation Awareness Focused Training Intervention: A Randomized Controlled Trial Pilot Study
- Doaa Almostadi, who defended her dissertation on December 5, 2017. Her topic: The Moderating Effect of Religion on Death Distress and Quality of Life Among Christian Cancer Patients in the United States and Muslim Cancer Patients in Saudi Arabia
