USF College of Nursing staff member, Jason Link, wins USF Quiet Quality Award

Media Technologist at the University of South Florida College of Nursing, Jason Link, recently received the 2013 USF Quiet Quality Award for his continuous diligence, great work performance, professionalism, and positive attitude at work.

USF College of Nursing Instructor, Debra A. Gottel, MSN, MHS, RN, nominated Link. In a letter she sent to the USF Staff Senate, said Link is a team player, cooperative, helpful, friendly, and that his work is exemplary.

“Link will work his hardest to get the job done completely and accurately,” said Gottel in the letter. “Not only is he willing to be helpful, but he is competent with his helpfulness. During our work with developing the lab, I never had to check on his follow-up, he initiated the search for equipment, the downloading and charging of the equipment.”

Link received a framed Award Certificate for the recognition, a name announcement in the Quiet Quality website, a picture displayed on the USF “Wall of Fame” in the USF Administration Building Breezeway, and an invitation to the official award ceremony hosted by USF Staff Senate in June, 2013.

“I’m just excited to have won the award,” said Link. “No matter what the outcome may be, I strive to work hard and learn new things every day, while at the same time be as friendly as I can. I just want to thank Debra Gottel for taking the time out of her busy schedule to nominate me, it’s times like these that make me really appreciate working for the College of Nursing!”

In November 2012, Link was the Bull Nurses Heart Walk Captain for the 2012 Heart Walk as part of the USF Bull Nurses team to raise money for the American Heart Association (AHA) to help fight heart disease and strokes. The Quiet Quality Awards, created in1996 by the USF Staff Senate, was created to increase the USF effort to recognize employees and their continuous hard work to accomplish the USF common goals.
