USF Health to Hold Canvas Day Kickoff event
Have you heard of Canvas yet? If you haven’t, do not panic. University of South Florida Health will hold a Canvas Day kickoff event where students can learn about the new tool at the USF Health Courtyard between the College of Medicine and College of Nursing on Jan. 31 from 2:00p.m. to 6:00p.m.
Canvas is a new Learning Management System which will replace Backboard in summer 2013. “Canvas is a fun, new Learning Management System that USF is moving to, and we at the College of Nursing will be using it for all our courses in the summer semester,” said Oma B. During Canvas Day, USF Health Educational Design and Technology experts will be there to answer students’ questions about Canvas and show them what the system is all about. To add on the fun, students and their peers will have the chance to win a free t-shirt, listen to live music, and grab some free pizza.
