The College of Nursing activities are located in two USF Health buildings – the main building on the USF Tampa Campus has over 75,000 square feet of assignable space that supports the College academic, research and administrative missions and the CAMLS facility houses the Registered Nurse Anesthesia simulation activities in downtown Tampa.

University of South Florida Nursing school College of Nursing In the main building there are 5 full outfitted technology classrooms ranging from 20 to 100 seats; 2 computer laboratories; several seminar rooms; an 8 room virtual simulation center; a 7 room bio-behavioral laboratory. All classrooms are equipped with ceiling mounted HD projector systems networked to the USF Health IT system.

CAMLS offers classroom and advanced simulation opportunities to nurse anesthesia students and supports college-wide events and workshops.

Being a part of USF Health, all faculty, staff and students have access to wireless networking at both facilities; network and power connections are available at every seat. The college maintains open use computer lab hours and has designated study and lounge spaces for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as a newly renovated employee lounge.

The college’s Research Center is an 8 office suite of faculty researchers and administrators. The Bio-behavioral Research Lab is home to numerous innovative federally- funded research projects that include immunology, cancer, HIV, psychoneuroimmunology, and other health related issues and includes state of the art equipment in 2,500 square feet.

NURSING ROOM SCHEDULE ONLINE: The College of Nursing Calendar is on-line at http://health.usf.edu/nursing/about/events . This calendar lists all the events, classes, meetings etc. in the nursing building by time, just click on the event to see what room it is in.

TOUCH SCREEN PORTALS: A you enter the college of nursing from either the north or east entrances you will see a message portal to greet you. The left hand section of each portal it is an interactive touch screen where you can view the daily schedule, look up a faculty or staff member in the directory. Both of these functions interact with the 3-d building map to give you turn by turn directions of how to get to your destination in the building by just clicking on the room number. There are many other features such as: campus maps and bull runner tracker, campus dining options, usf events, traffic map & weather so you can tell what your commute home will be like.

QR CODES FOR ROOM SCHEDULES. There are QR codes posted at all College of Nursing rooms. You can scan them using any common QR scanner with your smart phone and see the schedule for that room. Please do not assume that just because a room is empty it is will not be used soon, someone else may have it reserved and they have priority usage. To reserve a room please go to the Room Reservation e-form on the website.
