USF College of Nursing honored donors and scholarship recipients at the annual donor appreciation event on Jan. 28 at the USF’s Sam and Martha Gibbons Alumni Center.
Donors, students, faculty, staff and guests attended the BIG reception, which celebrated the college’s ‘Bold and dedicated supporters whose Intentional generosity fuels efforts to create Genuine success.’
Dianne Morrison-Beedy, PhD, senior associate vice president of USF Health and dean of the College of Nursing, welcomed the guests and discussed the progress the college has made in the past twelve months.
Dr. Morrison-Beedy also presented the 2016 Nursing Champion Award, given to those who give their time, talent and treasure to advance the efforts of USF Nursing.
This year’s winner was Jane McNeil, the co-founder of Lily Foundation. She received the honor for supporting the college’s 2015 Joining Forces to Restore Lives conference.
