Nursing dean receives alumni award from UB
Dianne Morrison-Beedy, PhD, RN, WHNP-BC, FNAP, FAANP, FAAN, senior associate vice president of USF Health and dean of the College of Nursing, received the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award from University of Buffalo (UB) School of Nursing.
Dr. Morrison-Beedy, who completed her master’s degree at UB School of Nursing in 1983, received the distinguished award for her outstanding achievements in nursing as an educator, researcher and leader. She was officially honored during a special ceremony on May 28 at the Buffalo and Erie County History Museum in Buffalo, NY.
UB School of Nursing gives the distinguished alumni award annually to an alumnus in recognition of exceptional career accomplishments, community and university service, and research and scholarly activity.
This is just one of many notable recognitions for Dr. Morrison-Beedy this year. She was recently inducted into the 2015 International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame by the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI). She also received the Fulbright Award for the Fulbright International Education Administrators Program in France. Dr. Morrison-Beedy was also awarded USF Outstanding Faculty from the USF Provost’s Office.
