USF Nursing holds Nurses Week Gordon Keller Alumni event

University of South Florida College of Nursing celebrated National Nurses Week (NNW) by holding a Gordon Keller Alumni Gathering on May 6 at Tampa General Hospital (TGH).

USF College of Nursing in collaboration with TGH hosted the event to recognize and honor the legacy of the Gordon Keller alumni enabling the Gordon Keller alumni to reunite for the first time in a number of years.

In 1910, the Gordon Keller Memorial Hospital and Gordon Keller School of Nursing opened where TGH is located today to provide improved medical services to the community. That school closed down in 1972.

National Nurses Week is celebrated annually May 6 to May 12 to celebrate nurses and their work to save lives and improve the health of millions of individuals.
