USF Nursing holds Survivor Skills Series for Advanced Practice Nursing Conference at CAMLS

University of South Florida College of Nursing will hold a Survivor Skills Series for Advanced Practice Nursing Conference on Basic Suturing, Punch Biopsy, Shave Biopsy, and Cryotherapy Skills Conference at the Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) in Tampa on March 23, 2013.

USF College of Nursing Instructor, Linda S. Blasen, MS, FNP-BC, ACNP-BC, will instruct the Survivor Skills Series.

The conference, sponsored by USF Health, is to help attendees learn an overall approach to laceration management, including wound assessment, proper provision of local anesthesia, achieving hemostasis and incorporating gentle tissue handling while suturing to promote proper suture placement and enhance final appearance of the wound.
