USF Nursing PhD student, Sarah Perron, receives the 2012 Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses Career Mobility Scholarship

University of South Florida College of Nursing PhD student, Sarah Perron, MS, RN, CMSRN, received the 2012 Career Mobility Scholarship from the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN). The scholarship provides financial assistance to AMSN members to continue their professional development and further their education. She received a total amount of $1,000.

“Thank you to AMSN for the scholarship,” Perron said. “I was lucky to be one of the award recipients.”

Perron is working on her PhD program at USF Nursing, and plans to graduate in May 2015. Ms. Perron is currently an Education Specialist at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Fla.

She will be recognized as a scholarship repient during the AMSN’s 21st Annual Convention on October 4 through 7, 2012, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
