University of South Florida College of Nursing students and faculty volunteered at a special “15 Minutes For Your Health” free community heart screening event at Florida Hospital Tampa-Pepin Heart Institute on Feb 28.

Students assisted with blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol levels and BMI screenings to identify individuals at risk for stroke and heart disease. USF College of Nursing instructors Debra A. Gottel, MSN, MHS, RN, and Cassandra A. Vonnes, MS, ARNP-BC, FAHA, provided student support and guidance.
