USF Nursing Students Participate in TGH Employee Wellness Fair and Flu Shot Clinic
Twenty-three students from the University of South Florida College of Nursing participated in Tampa General Hospital’s Employee Wellness Fair and Flu Shot Clinic on Oct. 9. The flu shot clinic was part of TGH’s Annual Wellness event, where employees received discounts on health insurance premiums, and free immunizations. The USF Nursing students provided a total of 665 flu shots for TGH employees.USF Nursing student at TGH’s Employee Wellness Fair and Flu Shot Clinic
Cheryl Wilson MSN, ARNP, ANP-BC, Instructor and Team Coordinator for the TGH Team at USF College of Nursing, said the TGH event gave the students the chance to utilize their skills as well as provided them with the opportunity to offer a necessary service to the hospital.
“I am proud of the students for their level of professionalism they displayed during this event and have received a lot of compliments on our students from staff and administration at TGH,” Wilson said.
The TGH Employee Wellness Fair and Flu Shot Clinic is an annual event, and USF Nursing students will have the chance to participate again next year.
