WUSF Airing Discussion on USF Nursing Study to Improve Sleep and Reduce Heart Disease Risk In Caregivers

University of South Florida College of Nursing Professor and Endowed Chair Meredeth Rowe, RN, PhD, FGSA, FAAN discusses with WUSF-TV her current study focused on individuals who care for people suffering with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The study tests the relationship between caregiver sleep and heart disease to help understand what negatively affects caregiver health.

Dr. Rowe’s special interview about the $1.9 million study, funded by National Institute on Aging (NIA), will air on WUSF-TV, WUSF-Radio (89.7 FM), and WSMR-Radio (89.1 and 103.9 FM) at different times, Aug. 6, 2013 through Aug. 18, 2013.

WUSF-TV air-times include:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 6 – 11:55 a.m. to Noon and 8:55 p.m. -9:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 13 – 11:55 a.m. to Noon and 8:55 p.m. -9:00 p.m.
  • On other days, the segment will air about three times per day at various times

WUSF-Radio (89.7 FM) air-times include:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 6 – Immediately after 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., and again after 5:40 p.m.

WSMR-Radio (89.1 and 103.9 FM) air-times include:

  • Friday, Aug. 9 – After 7:40 p.m. following a segment called Florida Matters.
