Science and society intersect at USF symposium April 11

How can a scientist think more like an artist?

This is just one of the thought-provoking topics to be discussed by USF faculty speaking Wednesday evening, April 11, at the Science and Society Symposium 2012.  The free event, promoting awareness of the relationship between science and society,  will be held 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Marshall Student Center  Oval Theatre.  Other topics range  from brain-machine interfaces to the effects of pollution and climate change on ecosystems and human health.

Open to all members of the USF community, the symposium will  include performances by the Theatre Department and the School of Music’s iPad band.  A reception with food and live music will be held in the Marshall Center Amphitheatre following the event.

USF Health’s own Dr. Jay Wolfson will be the master of ceremonies, which means the evening is sure to be entertaining.
